Snow in Podgorica
Snow in Podgorica is definitely a bit different than in Russia -- not as much and a lot wetter! But, it was also very much the same -- white and beautiful. Much like a small child, I get excited about the first snow of the year and enjoyed a beautiful walk in the snow/rain yesterday.
Last night we had several friends over to celebrate Advent. We talked about Mary and how young and obedient she was. This morning we had some new friends over for a fiesta and talked about why the angel Gabriel punished Zachariah for not believing and questioning with 9 months of silence and did not punish Mary for asking basically the same question -- How is this possible?
While I don't know the answers to all the questions of "how" it happened -- Gabriel's answer, "With God, all things are possible," seemed to satisfy Mary. May I be satisfied as well and be obedient as Mary was.
1000 Blessings
31-40 -- giggles of a little boy, father and son singing jingle bells, freshly fallen snow, bold little girls, new friends, questions, a warm home, the smell of cookies baking, whiskers on my son, old friends with new traditions.
