Gathering of Believers in Montenegro

Last Saturday was the annual gathering of believers in Montenegro. This group of people represent about 90% of all believers in Montenegro. An Evangelist from Texas, Alan B., led 2 sessions on Running the Race, and in the evening he shared his testimony in an evangelistic outreach.

We were encouraged and met lots of new people and learned what work is going on in different cities. There is one large city on the coast with 7 Christians, and 6 of them are M's. One person in a northern city shared about the trials, difficulties and discouragement that he was facing.

We all enjoyed a good laugh when the pastor from the church in Niksic shared this greeting: There is no where else in the world, except Montenegro, that you hear this greeting -- "Are you tired?" Not hello, or how are you, but are you tired? In the Balkans the folks from Montenegro are always the lazy ones in jokes. I have actually heard this greeting and thought to myself, I must really look tired!
