Church Fellowship Retreat

This past weekend we were with our church family at a retreat in the mountains near the Tara Canyon. The weather was wonderful -- 65 degrees at night in the the 80's in the day time. We had a sweet time of fellowship, worship and fun!

Thanks to Chris's mom, we introduced our friends to 'Smores! I have never seen adults enjoy them so much.

We went hiking around the Black Lake on Saturday and gathered wild flowers as we went. Some of the folks (ie Chris) took a nap under a tree.

On Sunday, Chris and I went to see an old church that was not too far away (13th Century). On the way there, I collected flowers for one of the ladies that was collecting flowers the previous day. She had given a beautiful boquet to on of the volunteers. I gathered some beautiful flowers for her and when I gave them to her, she just burst into tears. It was humbling for me to know that a simple gift of wild flowers could touch someone so deeply.

Our God is truly wonderful.

This is awesome news. My hope is that one day I or others from mbbc can attend more of these camps with you all. It all sounds like such a blessed time! -dave
