No trip to Turkey would be complete without a trip to a carpet factory. We were amazed at the detail on the hand woven carpets. The silk carpets had a guarantee of 100 years!!!! The wool and cotton for 60 or 70 years. The more that you walk on them, the shinnier they get. Christian took a snooze on an old wool carpet that was about 6 inches thick. He said it was very comfortable. The clolors were all unique to the region in which they were made. We bought a carpet to hang on the wall with a traditional pattern of the Tree of Life. We will put some pics up when we get it hung.
