The Sunset
A couple of weeks ago we went skiing in Kolasin. On the way home, we watched a beautiful sunset. The difficult part of getting the picture, was finding a place to pull off on the side of the road. About 30 seconds too late, we found a place. The pictures were good, but 30 seconds earlier, they would have been spectacular! I am continually amazed that the beauty of the Lord's creation.
This view reminds me of Psalm 121. This was my father's favorite Psalm and he quoted it often as he struggled with a terminal brain tumor. Whenever I see the mountains here in Montenegro, I think of this Psalm.
I lift up my eyes to the hill --
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip --
he who watches over you will not
slumber;
indeed, he who watches of Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you --
the Lord is your shade at your right
hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm--
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming
and going
both now and forevermore.

Thank you for reminding of the psalm. I love your pics, Jill. What kind of camera do you have?
