Close to Home
Yesterday, I took a walk around our neighborhood with my camera and had a delightful time photoing my next 10 blessings -- only 970 to go to reach 1000! Enjoy!
Podgorica (POD-gor-eet-sa)
This is a view of the city that we live in. It literally means under the mountain. I am taking a picture from Gorica (GOR-eet-sa), located behind where we live in Zagorich -- which means behind the mountain. As you can see, it's all about mountains in Montenegro (which means Mountain Black).
There are a lot of rocks here -- will your roots take you through rocky times?
The cedar/juniper trees are beautiful, and I was suprised by the moss on this tree.
Do you stand out in a crowd? Living overseas, I sometimes feel like the yellow leaf that everyone notices because of the way I look, dress, or speak.
Who thought moss could be so beautiful?
Three little mushrooms -- Papa, Mama and Child -- sort of like us.
This is the neighborhood that I live in. You can't exactly see my house, but it is there.
Reminders of Russia -- yellow birch leaves = good memories of the Golden Ring!
Somthing about a tree shiloueted against the sky that makes me think of winter.
Cilantro -- gotta love it! They don't grow it here, so I planted my own this fall and it grew!!!!
