Faces of Christian

Ever since he was little, he has loved to have his picture taken -- such a ham. It was a rainy day and there was not much to do other than read, study and take pictures. Lighting wasn't great, but we had fun.
He just finished a bout with the Serbian Flu -- very much like the RUssian Flu, which is probably a lot like the US Flu. Amazing how it spreads so quickly. There are normally 30 kids in his class and today there were only 15 -- I guess he was not the only one with the flu.
Our lives are a bit more settled than they have been in the past several months and that is a good thing. We are staying busy and focused on our new country. Learning the language, customs and finding our way around town. It is always exciting to go into a new area and see if perhaps they sell cilantro -- one of the things that we can't find here.
Our new language teacher is wonderful and we enjoy her a lot. Her name is Vera. She is a believer with a strong faith. In the evenings, she takes care of a little girl with Down's Syndrome. She has lots of faith and is encouraging to us.
