Adoption Update . . . Is Grandpa Dead?????

Well, it was my hopes to write today that we received a favorable decision from the courts, but we did not.  She did not say no, she just wants to know where is grandpa?  The social worker did not show due diligence in tracking down the death certificate of the grandfather of the children.  The social worker has until Monday morning at 9:00 to prove that grandpa is dead.

Where does that leave us??  It puts us in a time crunch due to the fact that Chris has to leave the country on the 5th of November.  There is a wonderful new Russian Holiday on the 4th of November -- the day of unity.  This means that the American Embassy will be closed on this day, making it impossible to get the kids visas to come to America before Chris has to leave.  More than likely, Chris will leave on the 5th and Christian and I, along with Natasha and Andrew will leave on the 7th or 8th.  It could possibly be longer due to the fact that lots of offices will close on the 3rd and 4th.  We asked the judge to show mercy and waive the 10 day waiting period to 8 days so that we could get all of the documents done in time to leave together.  We will pray that when we ask again, she will grant us grace.

Please pray for us as we try to process all of the information and work with dates and plane tickets and how we will get all the stuff done that we need to do in Moscow.  We are trusting God to give us the strength to finish up all that needs to be done this week.  We know that the kids will be ours, it is just a timing thing.

Pray that the social worker Tanya, is able to prove Grandpa is dead.

Pray that our helper Natasha, will be able to assist in all areas and will be able to work quickly to get the documents that we need to get.
