The Dacha with Bill

After working on Saturday morning at the university, we gathered together the team and headed out to our dacha (country house) to do a typical Russian thing -- cook shashleek! You will notice that Chris, Alys and Bill are squatting, because this is also a typical Russian thing. The shashleek (shiskabobs) were delicious -- pork, chicken and vegetables!

If you come visit us, we will take you to the dacha and cook shashleek too! Come on over -- the grill is waiting!

Is that store bought shashleek?

well . . . part of it was -- the pork was because i was in a hurry -- bmart has a good "bucket" of marinated port you can buy -- but VERY expensive. The chicken was my own new recipe.
