Twice this week we have been to see Yekaterina Metrophonova (now that's a mouthful). She is the person in charge of international adoptions here in Ivanovo. Five weeks ago she said that maybe in November or December they would be able to refer a child or children to us. Well, she was not in on Tuesday; Wednesday when she was in, she wasn't receiving people; and Thursday, she went to Moscow for 2 days . . . . BUT the other lady in the office was sorry that she was not able to get in touch with us to tell us not to come by and told us to return on Monday. She also said that they had talked about us and it seemed to me that she said they even discussed children to refer to us. Sometimes things get lost in translation, but we were encouraged that they remembered us and had not forgotten about us. There were also very nice to us! That is always encouraging in Russia. Hopefully we will have additional news on Monday for all of you!
